Before Physical AI had a name, we were already building across the disciplines now converging within it — interactive media, application development, 3D visualization, medical imaging, and physical-digital experiences. We don’t see software, hardware, data, and human experience as separate problems handed off between specialists. Dima Elissa
Founder & CEO
Dima Elissa is the Founder and CEO of VisMed-3D. Her career spans more than two decades at the intersection of technology, visualization, and entrepreneurship — building interactive systems and digital experiences for organizations ranging from Fortune 500 manufacturers to healthcare institutions, before founding and leading multiple technology ventures.
Prior to VisMed-3D, she served as CEO and Co-founder of ProofX, a Chicago-based venture applying 3D printing to healthcare, including hospital-based work producing patient-specific anatomical models for surgical planning in collaboration with NorthShore University HealthSystem, now part of Endeavor Health. That hands-on experience directly shaped the vision and focus of VisMed-3D.
She is a TEDx speaker, a member of the Chicago Titan 100 Board of Directors (2024), a Founding Board Member of mHUB, a Founding Advisory Board Member of the DePaul Women in Entrepreneurship Institute, and a co-author published in the DePaul Journal of Health Care Law.
